One of the services I have provided at times is doing custom character portraits for players of RPG games. This particular illustration is for a superhero character for the DC Universe RPG. The following description was provided as a basis for the design:
"She was 300 pounds of attitude in a 110 pound shell. Outfit is typically black and small; then a typical little Robin style black mask. She carries a pair of titanium whips, which she would use while fighting using her super speed to harass the baddies."
Details in the newspaper and on the building reflect additional character background and history that was also provided.

I created a number of designs that were used as part of two different release parties for Harry Potter books. Shown here are award certificates that were presented to the winners of the costume competitions. My goal was to present the characters a in way that did not bear resemblance to either film or cover art incarnations.

Powerhouse is a mock cover of a comic book featuring characters and designs created by myself and a close friend back in the mid-1970s.
This illustration was created for an online design contest that featured the theme of B-movie posters.
One of my ongoing projects is a series of designs and illustrations that reflect a retro science fiction theme called Rocket City. This particular magazine would likely be one of the selections at the finer Rocket City newsstands.
